The History of Kitcheneez- 20 years of Mixing Up Goodness
Share
In 2003, we had a terrible winter storm that had us inside for several weeks. I used this time to collect my recipes, just to organize them for myself. Once they were together, I thought others would enjoy them too, so I had my first book published. (I didn't know then that this would be the beginning of Kitcheneez.)
I sold my books at events and was then asked to host the Celebrity Cooking Stage with the Southern Women's Shows in Raleigh, Charlotte, Birmingham, Orlando and Novi (outside of Detroit). I did this for several years and loved every minute!
At events, people wanted more books of my recipes, but because I was a single mom with little time for book writing, I created a few mixes of spices that I used often to help me save time with meal prep in my own kitchen.
Making the move from cookbook author to food manufacturer was a huge step, but with my background in the Chemistry lab and lots of prayers for guidance, I jumped completely in.
We are now a family run, woman owned business that manufactures close to 100 spice seasoning mixes for all parts of a meal. My hope is to help people who struggle with not knowing what to make for dinner every night.
We're excited about the direction the business is growing and look forward to being able to reach more home cooks across the country.
My passion for helping families eat and enjoy more meals at home is as strong, if not stronger, than ever. I'd love to have Kitcheneez mixes to become a solution in your kitchen.
Please reach out if you have any questions at all. I'm always happy to help ~Lisa Shively, owner and creator of Kitcheneez, LLC (www.kitcheneez.com)
