This recipe was created by request of a customer who loves our Meatloaf Seasoning. I told her we use it as meatballs often and that I'd share the recipe here.
We hope you'll enjoy it to!
*Kitcheneez Meatloaf seasoning is also available in Salt Free.
Ingredients
2 lbs. ground beef, turkey, chicken or pork (a combination of any of these together works well, too)
2 eggs
½ cup milk
¼ cup plain breadcrumbs or quick cooking oats (we always use oats)
Cover a baking sheet with foil and spray lightly with cooking spray.
Gently stir all ingredients together. Using your hands form into meatballs.
Preheat oven to 425*
Place onto prepared baking sheet.
Bake until browned and cooked through, about 15 to 20 minutes. **See below to make as Sweet ‘n Sour Meatballs at this point.
Pour sauce into a large pot or crock pot. Add cooked meatballs. Simmer or cook on low for 1-2 hours. Serve over pasta.
Recipe Note
*If you're not going to use all the meatballs at once, cook them for 25 minutes so they are cooked thoroughly. Freeze for later use.
**To make Sweet n' Sour Meatballs- In a crock pot, combine a 32 oz. jar of Grape Jelly and 2 (12 oz.) jars of Chili Sauce (in the kethup aisle). Add your cooked meatballs. Cook on low for 3-4 hours. This may sound strange but WOW they are delicious!
