Chicken Cordon Bleu was a dish my mother would make on special occasions. The combination of the chicken, swiss cheese and ham is a flavor party just waiting to happen.
Originally, this dish was believed to have come from Paris (hence the odd-to-us spelling of blue). Translated, “cordon bleu” means blue ribbon which had become a way to acknowledge knights as they reached higher ranks.
Enjoy this simple way to enjoy all the flavors without feeling like you need to “dress” for dinner.
