Eastern NC BBQ Sauce mix (A recent 1st prize winner!)

If you've ever been to the Eastern part of North Carolina and stopped for BBQ, this is the sauce you were served.

It's a very thin, sweet, tangy, vinegary sauce that brings out the WOW in pork! We love to dip our hushpuppies in it, too.

To prepare: In a saucepot, combine the seasoning mix with 2-1/2 cups of apple cider vinegar and 1/2 cup ketchup.

Bring to a boil. Whisk to dissolve well. Remove from the heat and allow to cool. Store in a mason jar or empty ketchup bottle. Refrigerate for at least 3 hours before serving.
